Holidays

30 Nov

Well folks, it has been way too long. We have been so busy here trying to get the ‘goods’ on the site for you to be able to enjoy! We here at Boot Barn really appreciate all of the support and interaction that everyone has given to us! As many of you know, our website is kicking off to a great start and we’d like to try to continue that for you! With the Holidays coming and going, we have what you need! Of course, with a few glitches here and there, we appreciate comments and questions. In this company we are all humans, weird, I know, sometimes I think we might be superheroes. :)

With that said, we do have many deals out for the Holidays. So many gift ideas sometimes it’s hard to know where to start! That is why we also added Gift Cards to our website. In the past, gift cards were not able to be used on Bootbarn.com. Now, we have made gift cards available for use on the website by calling our customer service line. A gift card is such a great gift because it takes the guess out of buying a gift for someone. No more offensive sizes; your friends don’t have to pretend to ‘love’ their gifts any more – they can pick anything they want from the website or our stores. Want to pick out something other than a gift card? Visit a Boot Barn near you and one of our knowledgeable staff can help you find what you need.

I try to say it as much as possible, but thank you again to those who have helped us to build a better business! Thank you to those as well who have helped our country to allow us the opportunity to have this wonderful business!

Miss Rodeo CA 2011 visits Paso Robles Boot Barn

13 Oct

Miss Rodeo CA 2011In working in the stores for a while I have to say, I’ve learned a lot. Not only have I learned a lot about western products and ways to take care of them, but I have also learned a lot about the western lifestyle. I have lived this way (including owning horses) for most of my life, but there are still aspects of the lifestyle that I personally didn’t know and still don’t know. In my time at the Boot Barn in Kearny Mesa, CA (San Diego), I learned a lot about rodeo queens. I learned that there is a lot to accomplish to become a rodeo queen. One of the gals I worked with in the store spent her free time working to become a rodeo queen. Now, for those of you who are in this field, please forgive me, as I still don’t have the technical terms down.

Anyway, I know that it takes a lot of time and knowledge to become a rodeo queen. It’s not all about looks. As part of being a queen, they have to be very public. Get themselves out there for people to see and understand; for others like myself to learn what being a rodeo queen is all about. With that being said, those who were in our Paso Robles Boot Barn last week probably saw or met  Miss Rodeo California 2011. Her name is Brittany Slaton and not only is she Miss Rodeo CA 2011, but she was also Miss Rodeo Salinas in 2009. In this competition, she competed against five other young women from California who also hold titles from rodeos. To get a bit more technical, the contest was three days and it consisted of Horsemanship, Speech, Modeling, Personal & Horsemanship Interviews, Personality and Appearance. WOW!

Boot Barn Watering Holes

16 Jul

Original Post on Facebook by Wednesday M.  (HR @ Boot Barn)

Boot Barn has made generous donations to both of the local spots listed below for raffle prizes. Come check it out!

The Swallows Inn in beautiful San Juan Capistrano or Cook’s Corner in Trabuco Canyon are my two favorite local bars. Cowboys, bikers and just nice people hanging out having a good time at both.

Both places are doing annual charity events this weekend. The Swallows is having their annual Christmas in July; this event always has the best bands and brings people in from all over to donate non perishable food items to the beautiful Capistrano Mission in San Juan Capistrano.

Cook’s Corner is doing their annual Ladies that Ride Event that bring attention to breast and ovarian cancer. This is a huge event with fabulous bands, food, tattoo contests and raffles.

Come out for the fun; you are sure to run into lots of Boot Barn folk!
